📅Virtual Workshop: GST, Key Australian Institutions & Which Financial Professional You Actually Need
A practical virtual workshop for Latina entrepreneurs who want to stop guessing and start building their business on solid ground.
What Is This Workshop?
Who do you actually call when you need financial help — an accountant, a bookkeeper, or a financial advisor? What is the ATO and what does it have to do with your business? And what exactly is GST — and are you handling it correctly?
If any of those questions made you pause, this workshop was made for you.
In this focused, practical session, we’ll cut through the confusion and give you a clear map of the Australian financial landscape — so you know who’s who, what’s what, and how to protect and grow your business with confidence.
No jargon. No overwhelm. Just real, useful information delivered in plain language.
What You’ll Learn
By the end of this workshop, you’ll know:
- Which financial professional you actually need — and when to call each one (so you stop paying for the wrong advice)
- The key government and financial institutions every business owner in Australia should know — and what each one does
- What GST is, how it works, and why it matters for your business — whether you’re registered or not
- How to stay compliant without the stress of feeling like you’re always one step behind
- The questions you should be asking your accountant, broker, or advisor — but probably haven’t

👉About your mentor
Elaine Faingertz is a bookkeeper, financial educator, and the founder of EF Books & BAS Services, based in Melbourne. Originally from Colombia, she brings years of experience in banking and accounting across two countries — and a deep understanding of what it feels like to navigate a financial system that wasn’t designed with you in mind.
After working in the financial industry for many years, Elaine noticed a pattern: for many entrepreneurs — especially migrant women — numbers feel overwhelming, intimidating, and just out of reach. Not because they aren’t capable, but because nobody ever explained them in a way that actually made sense.
That’s exactly what she set out to change.
Through her practice, Elaine helps small business owners organise their books, understand their finances, and build the confidence to manage their businesses in Australia — without the fear, the confusion, or the feeling of always being one step behind.
She has a particular passion for supporting Latina entrepreneurs: using clear, everyday language to turn complex topics like bookkeeping, budgets, BAS, and the Australian tax system into something approachable, practical, and even empowering — in both Spanish and English.
Her goal is simple: help more women feel calm, confident, and in control of their business finances.
Because when you stop being afraid of your numbers, you start taking control of your money — and your business.
